Shared Sessions

Shared Sessions are persistent browser session slots that can be made available to team members or external users. Unlike Browse Now (which is a personal, on-demand session), Shared Sessions are designed for collaboration — you create a named session, configure its lifespan, and share access via a link.

Creating a Session​

  1. Navigate to the Sessions Hub.
  2. Click Create Session.
  3. Configure the session:
    • Name — A descriptive label for the session (e.g., "Client demo browser" or "QA testing - staging site").
    • Expiration — Choose how long the session remains active: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or never (no automatic expiration).
    • Proxy (optional) — Assign a proxy configuration to route the session's traffic through a specific provider.
  4. Click Create. The browser session starts and is ready for use.

Sharing Access​

Each session has a shareable link that grants browser access to anyone who opens it:

  • Click Copy Link on the session card to copy the URL to your clipboard.
  • Send the link to team members, clients, or external collaborators.
  • No hidettp account is required to access a shared session — the link is the credential.

Session Management​

From the Sessions Hub, you can manage all active and past sessions:

  • Edit — Update the session name or expiration.
  • Revoke access — Invalidate the current shareable link. Existing connections are disconnected and the old link stops working. You can generate a new link if needed.
  • Delete — Terminate the session and release the browser instance immediately.

Connection Tracking​

Each session tracks who connects and what they do:

  • Active connections — See who is currently connected to the session in real time.
  • Connection history — A log of all past connections, including when they connected and disconnected.
  • URL visits — A record of pages visited during the session.

Analytics​

Session cards display key metrics:

  • Session duration — Total time the session has been active.
  • Page views — Number of pages navigated during the session.
  • Total connections — How many times the session link was used.

Archive Log​

When sessions expire or are deleted, they move to the archive. The archive preserves a history of past sessions with their metadata, connection logs, and analytics — giving you a complete record of all shared browser activity over time.
